3M Auto Spraygun Campaign

Working closely with the Marketing Team from 3M to promote their new automotive spray gun, FinishMaster created 20,000 promotional T-shirts that were handed out with a postcard that had instructions to post photos of the recipient in the shirt with the #spraygunrevolution. Winners of a 3M swag bag and spray gun were drawn at random. FinishMaster and 3M increased sales of spray guns through the promotion.

 

Hood Master 2021

The goal was to bring the artistry back to the collision repair industry and generate some good PR for FinishMaster with a mini hood painting contest and campaign. Over 150 automotive painters participated in the contest that concluded with a gallery type show and judging in Indianapolis. Eight prizes valued at over $5000 each were awarded to the winners. The campaign generated a lot of industry media coverage and increased our social media following by over 20%.

 

Pin Master 2021

A companion to the Hood Master Campaign – Pin Master was focused on collision repair students in high school and college. The students repaired and painted old bowling pins and entered them into the Pin Master contest. The top four winners were awarded prizes valued at over $3,000 at the Hood Master art show in Indianapolis. Selling the pins at the event and with the help of CREF (Collision Repair Education Foundation) FinishMaster was able to raise $5,000 for education grants.

 

Midwest Promotion

The Midwest Promotion Campaign was an eight week campaign centered around three FinishMaster branches in the Midwest that were trying to attract new customers to their walk-in business. Dormant and smaller budget customers were also targeted with emails and paid Facebook ads. Initial investment in the campaign was $4,000 with a return of 40% in new business.

 

Influencer Box Campaign

Working with collision repair industry influencers we created a campaign around trying out new SMART products. Ten Influencers were send a box of allied automotive products from SMART with instructions to try the products and post about them on their social feeds. Not only did the company receive fantastic feedback about the boxes and products but we also gained new social media followers on Facebook and Instagram.

 

Advertising Campaign

To attract new business and act as a reminder to current customers FinishMaster invested in an advertising budget of $200K annually. Ads focused on ease of product delivery, paint lines and SMART allied products. Advertising primerarly in print and digital industry magazines we saw a return in new and renewed business in 2021.

 

Swag/Company Store

FinishMaster needed to create new swag items that could be used at trade-shows and as customer appreciation gifts. Items like beer growlers, coffee mugs, webcam covers and tire gauges were created to help promote the FinishMaster brand. The store was managed by the marketing team and included shirts, hats and other apparel items for team members plus printed collateral for sales and campaigns.

 

Home Magazine

Produced in 7 days at minimal cost, the Home magazine was a full size/full color bookazine that was handed out at a New York City promotions event for Angie’s List.

 

Angie’s List B2B Campaign

Toolbox was a bi-monthly digital B2B magazine send to advertisers that offered services on Angie’s List. The magazine provided tips on how to use the list, social media and analytics to grow their business. Emails, social posts and smaller printed pieces (small brochure) rounded out the B2B campaign. Overall service providers generated $37M+ in advertisement revenue for Angie’s List annually.
